There was some currency, some resources and you could start at ONE level higher. Just look at Mass Effect trilogy, that is the very best case you might see. This game has its own end game with hard mode and VR battles, next one will have its own things. ![]() That's why I'm firmly sitting in "keep the two separate" camp. It is very likely some mechanics will be changed, how would you expect that to transfer over if we get a different system for weapons or combat? Far simpler would be to let it be a separate game with continuation to the story. imagine how pissed players would be losing all their leveled materia and items. I can't see them not allowing importing of stuff from intergrade. Originally posted by Katitoff:None of FF games has level scaling, because areas are locked by monsters being too hard to go into them if not for story locks itself. that way they don't have to scale enemy levels at all. It would be far simpler to adjust the imported player's level ether to the previous game's cap or to crunch the imported character's level down like mass effect 2 does. ![]() If they do allow importing levels and items from intergrade they will need to ether adjust the PC's level or adjust the monsters level. I wouldn't count on Rebirth having any kind of cross-game progression transfer, hell, knowing games like Mass Effect, there probably won't be the same mechanics between the games. It's not impossible to let players carry over all their stuff and then do a level crunch, while implementing scaling to account for what players imported. There's this thing called balancing and level scaling.
